Quo Vadis Restaurant

Paellas, tapas and more in Alicante’s most beautiful plaza

Our Review

Quo Vadis Restaurant is a lovely family run restaurant in in Alicante Old Town, there is always a lovely atmosphere in the plaza which is surrounded by beautiful old buildings and palm trees.  Not only is the location beautiful the food is excellent especially the paella either the seafood or the vegetable option are super!  Tapas are very tasty too so you’ll be sure to visit a couple of times, and who can argue with the complimentary glass of Cava or Sangría they give you with your meal! We always have enjoyed friendly service from the waiters who speak English and the owner Juan is very hospitable.  One of our favorite places to eat or simply to enjoy a drink on the terrace.

I ate here twice during my visit & even stopped for coffee once! The waiters spoke english & they were so lovely & helpful. I ate paella here on both visits & it was just as delicious on both visits. the garlic bread is amazing too

This is the second time we’ve eaten here, and the place certainly has the best paella in Alicante. Although there’s a two person minimum order, the paella is so good it’s worth having the huge plate of deliciousness all to oneself. The mix of crayfish, squid, prawns, mussels and the secret ingredient - baby cuttlefish - is so out of this world that it’s practically a life changing experience. Highly recommended. Ps: my wife says the salmon is good too.

This a really good restaurant with friendly waiter service and very reasonable prices for what we originally thought might be a ‘tourist trap’ area.
Location is excellent in the old town and it’s perfect for people watching and taking in the sights.
We ordered a paella de la marisco and the presentation was amazing. It tasted wonderful too, as did the toasted bread and alioli. For wine, we chose the El Cotto Rioja for just €14 and it was really good. Service was relaxed and quite quick too and we didn’t feel under any pressure to order anything else. We would definitely eat here again.

I ate here on my way down from the big hill in Alicante. The place looked really cool and grabbed my attention. Then a member of the staff invited me to eat there. Their 12 euro lunch deal is unbeatable. All the food is fresh and they serve it with a very high degree of professionalism. Some waiters even make jokes and make you feel welcome. An additional fun fact is that one the waiters was from a country next to my home country and he talked to me in Hungarian which a very difficult language. Check out my photos to see how the historic buildings and palm trees cast shadow on the tables. RECOMMENDED.
